- Theme Preference: Your light/dark mode choice (stored locally in your browser)
- IP Address: Used for rate limiting to prevent abuse
- Click Data: When you click "Book Now" (for analytics only)

- To provide hotel search results via our AI

3. Data Storage
We do NOT store:
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Payment information (we don't process payments)
- Browsing history outside of SimpleStay
We DO store locally in your browser:

- Google Gemini API: To process your search queries and provide hotel recommendations
- Pexels API: To fetch hotel images
- Booking.com (affiliate links): When you click "Book Now", we may earn a commission

- Delete your data (clear browser localStorage)

- Request we stop processing your data

SimpleStay is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Known Limitations:
- Hotel images may not have detailed alt text (AI-generated)
- Third-party booking platforms may not meet our accessibility standards
- Complex date parsing may occasionally be difficult for screen reader users
